Alarm is Being Sounded!!!

The alarm is being sounded, consider yourself warned. Don't hold cash! Hold an asset which appreciates independently of cash, such as gold or real estate. Huge inflation is on the way. If you don't believe me, watch this video. There is no way we can print this much money and not experience raging amounts of inflation.

Sister of the Year

Today was a long day of working on the house. We are trying to get it fixed up so we can sell it, and we are making good progress. Unfortunately however, we are not yet finished. We still have to carpet one of the bedrooms, finish the tile in the laundry room, put in the counter tops, put up transition strips and quarter round, and stain and replace the cabinets in the kitchen. There is actually more as well, but I can't think of it right now. It is going to be a lot of work, but thanks to one amazing sister, it is going much quicker. Muffin and Husky, in cooperation with Life in the Tangled Mass of Tropical Vegetation, would like to officially nominate Bells for "Sister of the Year," and "Sister in Law of the Year" awards simultaneously.

Ignoring the Founding Fathers

Earlier today I read a post that someone had made, in which they stated that they were reading a book about politics. This person also stated that prior to reading the book she thought she was a "moderate" but now realizes she is "left of the left." A response to that post was from one of her friends, which stated that she "was a moderate," but that "the right keeps pushing more and more right and it's moving the center."

Reading this gave me a very sick feeling. Knowing that there are those out there who may feel this way is deeply troubling to me. I wish they would read the statements and literature produced by the Founding Fathers of this great nation. If they would do this, they would see that it is not the right who has changed, but the left. The Founding Fathers believed in freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. They believed in low taxes, property ownership, and the right to bear arms.

This country was founded on Conservative principles. The people of the time had lived under oppressive government, in which the government controlled every facet of their lives. They hated that life and yearned for freedom and liberty.

A good place to start for any seeking to understand the wisdom of the Founding Fathers, is Thomas Paine's Common Sense pamphlet which was published and distributed in 1776. You can find it here:

It is the so called "progressives" which have radically drifted away from the center, not the other way around.

When the Wife is Sleeping...

So once again I am still awake while my beautiful bride is asleep next to me. On a normal night, this is devastating because I have to wake up at 0230 on a typical day, so that I can be at work before 0400. However, because we are on leave this week (to fix up the house) there is not an imminent alarm silently awaiting the opportune moment at which it can burst into a fit of violent noisy rage and disturb the peaceful slumbering occupants which rest ever so quietly just feet away.

Anyway the recurrence of this typical state which we encounter frequently has led me to wonder, what do most husbands do when the wife is sleeping?

As for me, I typically will read quietly. If she is in a deep sleep then I will sometimes try my luck with the TV. That however, can backfire drastically if it wakes her up.

Having a sleeping wife kind of sucks, because it is really hard to stay quiet. Even harmless acts like surfing the internet lead to problems. It doesn't matter how many times I mute the computer, it still will make noise if given enough time and opportunity.

I think the worst noise in the world is the sound Windows makes when it is shutting down. This cacophony is especially bad when the volume to the surround sound is turned up and the sub woofer is on. In addition to being the perfect recipe for audible wake-up, there is something truly aggravating about the sound.

Ok now I'm starting to get tired... Gonna try and ride the wave down...

What is Emulation but an Expression of Adoration?

There have been questions as to what exactly my blog is, and whether or not it is a spoof. Well, there is no firm answer to that, so I will answer any inquiries with one of my own. What is emulation but an expression of adoration?

Welcome to the Tangled Mass of Tropical Vegetation

Hello and welcome all to my new home, here in the dense Central American impenetrable thicket, a tract overgrown with masses of vegetation. This place has also been called a hobo camp, a confused or disordered mass of objects, and a place of ruthless or complex character. This is something that baffles or frustrates by its tangled or complex character, and may or may not be electronic dance music that combines elements of techno, reggae, and hip-hop. So what is it then, you ask? Well, it is simply the spirit and soul in all of us. It is a supernatural being or essence, often malevolent, immaterial intelligent or sentient part of a person. It is the activating or essential principle influencing a person. It is quite essentially, all of us. Live it, love it, and hold it close to your heart as long as your arms have the strength within them.
